Rumors are that the Grand Jury will vote today on this case...
But now they say that the Grand Jury meeting today was abruptly cancelled and that they may not meet till next week?
To be clear, the Bidens have been funneling millions from Chinese and other foreign entities into their family fortune and Democrats are demanding that influence peddling is probably not criminal (just really unethical) and are doing everything in their power to block any investigations.
Meanwhile, Bragg is attempting to create a felony over $130K nondisclosure agreement bookkeeping issue that has been previously rejected by both the Federal and New York prosecutors back when the situation was considered justifiably so as a misdemeanor.
Update: Perhaps there now may not even be charges?
What a difference a days makes? Yesterday everyone was sure that the sitting Grand Jury would be voting to indict Donald Trump. Now, they appear to on leave till at least next week.
According to many, the trouble appears to have been the surprise last minute witness whom Trump suggested would "totally exonerate" him. This witness (according to sources) apparently provided pretty solid evidence that Michael Cohen has been lying before the Grand Jury (or at least his story has changed from what he previously maintained).
Robert Costello was the witness in question and had been Cohen's advisor. He apparently has specific evidence that what Cohen is saying in court now is different from what he had been saying previously. There may even be evidence that Cohen is knowingly lying.
On top of Cohen lying, there is concern now that exculpatory evidence was also hidden from the Grand Jury. That hundreds of pages of information (provided by Costello to Bragg) that would be harmful to the prosecution were cherry picked through and only six pages were presented to the Jury.
So any prosecutor is bound to certain principals. They cannot just bring a case they believe they will lose just because of political purposes and they cannot knowingly put someone on the stand who they know is going to lie. So if the counter testimony from Costello was harmful enough to Cohen (already a convicted felon) that he could not be called on to testify, then where does that leave Bragg's case?
Lastly, there are rumors that the Grand Jury was cancelled over concerns that they were on the fence about possible indictment. The assumption has been all along that the Grand Jury would almost certainly vote to indict. Now, the rumors are that Bragg himself is concerned that the Jury is not certain to vote for the indictment, especially in wake of the testimony yesterday.
