Joe believes in Joe and believes Joe is winning! Only the Lord Almighty can tell him otherwise!
Rather than watch the interview myself I just went through the comments thread on one of Goddards Political Wire threads. Oh boy, these people are not happy!
While there were a few who suggested Biden was doing just fine and not to worry, the lion's share of them were exuding all sorts of pain, despair, or even outright anger over what they were witnessing. I would suggest that at least 75% of them want Joe to step aside and let someone else lose to the Donald.
But what troubles me about these people is that almost none of them seemed even mildly concerned about what has been happening and what is currently happening in the White House. The few who suggested the obvious idea that if Joe cannot campaign effectively then why is he not stepping down from the Presidency were basically attacked by others for pushing a concept that would harm the Democrat's chances in November. Of course both could be true. Joe could be damaging the country by staying in office, while pushing him out as President would harm Democrats across the board.
What is becoming increasingly clear is that almost none of these people are worried about Joe Biden the President. Instead, they are simply worried about Joe Biden the candidate and concerned that he cannot beat Donald Trump in November. It's not about the country. It is about the Party and their election fortunes. This rings true from the Goddard comment thread, to your left-wing media, all the way up to Democratic politicians.
Very few on the thread seemed upset that they have been basically lied to either or apparently don't realize that they have been lied to. Most are pretending or suggesting that whatever Joe Biden we saw at the debate (and in parts of the interview) is not the Joe Biden that existed just a few months ago. The same people who probably cheered Joe's hopped up and fiery State of the Union Address are oblivious to the fact that even then, he needed something to allow him to make it to the end of his speech. How many times over the past year or two have we seen Joe Biden in any sort of unscripted events? Pretty much none. Even in the scripted events, how many times has he stumbled over the basic concept of reading from a teleprompter? How many of these people pushed back against claims of Biden's mental issues, only to now act as if this is all something that just came up?
All this being said, I still might go back and watch it myself. But do I really have to?
I saw Trump came out in defense of Biden being the Democrat nominee.
That must be causing an epic amount of exploding heads on the left.
And probably a soaring price of popcorn due to supply and demand.
My liberal in laws are posting that they will still vote for the guy 3 1/2 years older who is not a rapist. They really believe this stuff.
