What has Elon Musk ever done to anyone?

The left's logic on Elon Musk is interesting at best.

So if you really dig into the arguments of the left, Elon is both:

  • An idiot who got involved with the government as his own peril and will continue to lose billions because of it.

  • A corrupt individual who will make billions by stealing from the government.

I know this is true, because I literally asked the questions of some liberals as which he was, and the responses were that he is actually both. Not just stupid and corrupt, but both stupid and corrupt in the ways I just mentioned.

Now getting back to what has Elon done to anyone. The reality is that Elon bought Twitter, fired nearly everyone and replaced them with a shell of the former employee structure. After some minor bumps in the road, he has turned the old Twitter into what I would argue is a better platform as the new X. I think that is the major issue here. Not just that he turned the left leaning Twitter into an open forum that is now probably more conservative than liberal, but that he proved that he could cut staff and get as good or even better results with less resources. I am not sure which portion of this makes liberals madder.

Now Elon is basically wanting to prove he can do the same thing at the Government level. I have little doubt that there is just as much headcount fat (if not more) in the federal government than there was at Twitter. In fact, you see some very similar things from the former employees of Twitter as you do with many federal employees. The most obvious is that both those old Twitter and current government employees seem to like to go on social media and tell everyone how lax their job is and how little they actually have to work to collect a paycheck. Then they want a bunch of sympathy when they lose their jobs. I have seen multiple examples from both situations, where people went from bragging about how little they worked, to being upset because they lost their job.

Apparently, there are plenty of people on the left that are willing to offer said sympathy for these people. Perhaps they too, believe that we all should have comfy jobs where we really are not required to work too hard and that it is wrong to take those jobs away from people. But Elon Musk did not become the richest man in the world by providing paychecks for people to take naps, spend time socializing around the expensive coffee drink machine, or simply getting paid for working from home while spending that time watching television or surfing the web. He does require results from the people who work for him. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. I sometimes wonder if that sort of trait of being driven to success (so admired by so many for so long) has become toxic with the left. Meaning, this is not about Elon as much as it is about a generation trying to "redefine" what is means to be successful.

So for some reason, there is a kneejerk reaction to defend inefficiencies and to defend people who may be slacking. Right now they are refusing to look at anything that is being found and rather are focusing all of their energy and focus on the people involved. The more they can slander and libel Trump and Elon, the more they believe they are winning their argument and this concept is being reinforced in their little circle-jerks.
