What can you make of a poll that suggests more voters believe Harris earned her position on the ballot more than Trump did?

What is wrong with people?

Donald Trump has won the GOP primary three times, and has been elected President of the United States. Kamala Harris dropped out of the 2020 Presidential campaign without a single delegate and was elevated to the position of Vice President because Joe Biden promised he would make a "woman of color" his running mate. She took over the nomination without even a challenge and became the first candidate in history to have not received a single vote in any primaries.

Yet, according to 35%, Harris did more to earn her place on the ballot than Donald Trump has? I mean, there is partisanship (around that same amount believed Biden beat Trump in the last debate), and then their is complete delusion.

But here is the odd thing. In the poll, Harris is running +22 in favorability (when historically she has been down by double digits) and Trump is -32 in favorability, yet Harris is leading by only two points in this poll. So there is a 50% gap in favorability, but she still cannot convince enough of these people that she would be a better President than Trump.
