Well now Hunter will testify?

Sure, the reason that Hunter didn't comply with the first subpoena was because it wasn't valid, according to his attorneys? Good one! They say it was not valid because there was no "vote" for an impeachment inquiry. However, the original subpoena did not come from just the impeachment committee, but three separate committees, all with full subpoena power.

It has nothing to do with putting his dad in the tough spot of looking like his DOJ is the bastion of hypocrisy after putting Steve Bannon in jail for a year over his refusal to acknowledge his congressional subpoena? Ahem..... How could they continue to justify that, but allow Hunter to skate for doing the exact same thing?

I am quite certain that Hunter Biden will not answer much of anything. He will take the fifth pretty much across the board (as he is entitled to do as a person under indictment). In fact, he would be a fool not to take the fifth. But there will be political blow back for that as well. I am guessing that they believes that either Congress would agree to his terms of a public hearing vs a deposition or that Congress would not pass the contempt. They called his bluff and now he is backing down.
