Violent crime down 45% in D.C. since the Trump "takeover" of D.C. law enforcement.

Basically the Federal Troops accounted for a doubling of Law Enforcement leading to less crime across the board.

As of December, the D.C. police department had 1,340 patrol officers and 3,400 officers total, but only about a third of them are available on any given shift to serve a city of 720,000. “Crime is out of control, and our officers are stretched beyond their limits,” D.C. police union Chair Gregg Pemberton warned. Trump added over 500 federal law enforcement officers and about 800 National Guard troops, effectively doubling the number of patrol officers, calming the mayhem dramatically.
On top of all the 45% reduction in violent crime, the city has gone 13 days without a murder, when a murder was previously being committed every other day. The odds of this being a coincidence is astronomical. Objectively the Fed takeover of the D.C. crime situation has been an overwhelming success.
Now obviously this is not sitting well with big city mayors and blue state governors who want nothing less than to see a reduction of crime that would be attributed to something that Trump was doing. If the reduction in crime in D.C. is any indication, we would see a similar reduction in Chicago, Los Angeles, etc... and of course Trump would take credit and Democrats would fight back. Then once again the Democrats would be seen as fighting for "more crime" rather than embracing a solution to what many people see as a big problem.
Now what is the ulterior crazy motive that the left will suggest Trump has here? Obviously he wants to be dictator or king and is taking over cities with the military. While we see the occasional crazy person would would rather be car jacked and have a broken arm than to see Trump assist with reducing crime, there are probably not enough crazy people to appeal to here. I just don't see how extra help in fighting crime is going to be seen as a net negative to most people who are not criminals. It's an argument that the left is destined to lose, but one that they will not be able to stop themselves from making.
Seriously, we couldn’t deduct the interest on this home last year, we are under 5 years and our interest was under $400 for the year, Hank Johnson is my congressman, does anyone understand why I fucking hate gubment?
Reason number 9254 why I hate government. I can’t get 2 pines removed that are diseased and leaning over my neighbor’s yard. Because in 4/2024 I had a few pines removed, I have to wait another month?
If we knocked the house down and rebuilt a fucking McMansion here I could clear cut the fucking trees and put in a few shitty Bradford Pears
She sure changed her tune:
The Washington Post on X: "D.C. Mayor Bowser issued an executive order that would welcome federal law enforcement officials to stay in the city indefinitely, an indication of her willingness to cooperate with President Trump’s effort to take over public safety in the District. https://t.co/7HNPkluNUR https://t.co/GajjUalqZn" / X
