USSC overrides district/circuit court ruling regarding citizen verification.

Sides with the Administration that the DHS is authorized to provide information on citizenship.

According to the Supreme Court, congress has already authorized states to request this information. Furthermore, the USSC suggested that the plaintiffs would likely fail with their argument that requesting this information violates the Social Security Act, the Privacy Act, and the APA.

Once again, the USSC is merely adhering to the law, whereas the lower courts appear more focused on hiding the identities of undocumented individuals and aligning with liberals that wish to conceal this from the Federal government. The idea that this is somehow a violation of privacy seems dubious at best.

So, while most of this is stalled and probably will not effect the midterms, the idea of being able to allowing states verify this information will happen before Trump leaves office. Hopefully we can not just stop undocumented people from voting, but also stop these people from trying to protect the very concept of them voting (which they are obviously doing). The arguments about privacy or APA are a combination of strawman and red herring. They likely know this already, but needed to come up with "something" to give their targeted judges an excuse to delay this.

Update: This will be available prior to November, so it will effect midterms.
