Two more of the charges against Trump have been tossed in the Georgia case

Fani Willis is now down to process crimes and the allegations that the alternate electors were fraudulent.

We sometimes forget about his case, huh? Seeing how it spent so much time in the news for so long only to go pretty much dormant, it seems very odd how quickly it fell off the radar.

But the legal teams defending Trump and gang have been filing suits, making motions, and having more than a little success. The latest success, is that three of the overall charges (two of which involved Trump himself) were tossed out over issues of jurisdiction. This is a bit ironic considering the entire case involves a federal election. But in this case, the crimes that Willis contends were committed were not committed in Georgia. While RICO charges can consider crimes outside of their own jurisdiction, you cannot make up those crimes and prosecute them yourself. They have to be existing crimes already established.

Trump now faces the overall "RICO" charge which is ridiculous on the surface to anyone other than this particular judge, two false statement charges, two false document charges, and the charges dealing with the alternate electors. Other than the false statement charges, I am not sure how personally involved in the other charges Trump even was. How a couple of process crimes and likely accessories charges to a crime never before charged for this act is enough to warrant an ongoing criminal conspiracy racketeering case is beyond anyone's belief. How the Georgia State Attorney has allowed this to continue is even a more absurd thing. There has to be a voice of reason somewhere along this chain of command.

Either way, this case has not gone well for Willis and her reputation is in shambles. She probably thought this would elevate her and jump start her career. Outside of Fulton county, the only place I see her going is to become a legal analyst for MSNBC. I am sure they would love to have her.
