74,332,090 vs 74,224,319. Another talking point excuse from the left is shattered
He is destined to continue to see that number grow as more votes come in. I suspect he will get to 76 million with room to spare. He will not reach the 81 million that Joe Biden got in 2020, but it is possible with a dwindling population that nobody ever gets there again. Some will argue that Biden himself didn't actually get there.
Now the Democrats are going to continue to demand that there are "missing voters" as Harris is still under 70 million votes. Some are suggesting that the lack of those voters suggests some sort of nefarious behavior on the part of the GOP in this election. There was nothing "fishy" about Biden getting 15 million more votes than Barack Obama did in his reelection campaign, but there is something fishy about Harris coming in short of Biden (while still beating Obama by millions). Someday someone will have to explain this logic to me.
Others suggested that Trump wasn't going to get to his previous vote total, so he had no right to suggest he had any sort of mandate. This will be false, and eventually these skeptics will need to acknowledge that he will have received the second most votes of any President in any single election. Not to mention a total whitewash in the Electoral College. While most are acknowledging that this was a total beatdown, the holdouts are now grasping at straws.
One thing of note. With three elections under his belt Trump can argue that he has received the most votes in the history of Presidential elections. Not sure how exciting this is given it means he lost one of those, but I suspect he will bring it up at some point. Sounds like something he can turn into some typical Trump bravado.
Georgia, Florida both lose. Shakes up the top 5.
Georgia dropped seriously in the ESPN power rankings (and I suspect the polling as well) to the point where they have to think about the possibility of getting passed over for the expanded playoffs.
If the DAWGS lose here’s why
