Apparently voters didn't fall for the fake "sexual assault" façade disguised as a trial
How upset must liberals be right now? They get a fresh jury finding of guilt against Trump and his polling goes up? Check Harvard Harris and Economist (two polls since the verdict) and both are two points better for Trump than their previous polls from before the verdict.
If that sounds familiar it's because the same thing happened when Trump was indicted by Alvin Bragg. Now we have buzz of another indictment in August by another county prosecutor who wants to charge Trump with a crime regarding a Federal election. Look for his polling to rise again if that happens in August.
In fact, Trump's numbers had fallen just a wee bit in between the NY legal issues. It's almost as if Trump needs some charge made against him about every other month to keep up the momentum.
So why is this the case? Well because nothing coming up is new news.
Alvin Bragg did not tell us anything that we didn't already know. In fact, he told us next to nothing with his indictment. The sexual assault trial was rehashing old allegations that everyone already knew about. The looming indictment of Trump in Georgia is covering old ground that has been hashed and rehashed. The special counsel going after Trump over classified documents is providing us with absolutely nothing new either. I would guess that with Pence, Biden, and Trump all being found with classified documents that most people are bored with that story as well. The only news would be that Trump is being charged while Biden is not.
What liberals fail to realize is that people have ALREADY MADE UP THEIR MINDS about these issues. What a silly partisan jury in NY or DC demands is not going to change anyone's mind. Just as an indictment in Georgia or an indictment over classified documents will not change anyone's mind at this point. Oh and don't get anyone started if Smith tries to charge Trump with a process crime over an investigation that never should have started. I would go so far as to say that even any guilty findings will simply not change anyone's mind. Not today. Not in 2023. Not with the corruption and double political double standards that exist.
In many ways the Durham report provided Trump and his supporters with cover. Those who support him and believe he is being unjustly persecuted by partisan players just got a 300 page report from a well respected special counsel who found that our law enforcement is politicized and corrupt and that they broke over 300 of their own rules and laws in their rapid political pursuit of the bad orange man. So the next person to charge Trump with a crime can be simply written off as another example of a partisan Trump hating hack. Most likely that assessment is correct.
Meanwhile the left is livid over the Durham report and doing everything in their power to downplay it. They have also made up their minds and nothing can be done to change their feeble minds either. Trump is bad. Period. All is fair in love, war, and taking down Trump
So this is why indictments or convictions or dismissals or acquittals will not really change many minds at all. All of these issues are simply old news and much of the public no longer trusts our law enforcement and prosecutors to be honest and fair and we can no longer even expect our jury system to provide honest and fair verdicts. The only difference is that conservatives believe this corruption is bad, while liberals believe the corruption is justified.
Roger would tell us how for the good if the County Trump should leave the office because if the charges.
Surely Roger would want Biden to leave, right?
Heading to see Old Crow and Bocephus
Obama said something that was actually true this time. He remarked about there being two different realities. He's correct about that. And the media keeps driving this separation. At some point, this really could lead to another civil war.
