Because we apparently need thought police to protect Millennials and GenZers from being intellectually challenged.
A recent survey by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek, found that 44 percent of millennials (between ages 25-34) favor criminal charges for people who use the wrong pronouns for others or so-called “misgendering.” We have previously discussed how misgendering is now a crime in countries like Great Britain. Misgendering has been referred to as an “act of violence” at some U.S. universities.
These are the same people who believe their literal acts of violence are free speech as long as the person injured is stating something they do not believe in. As far as the Great Britain situation, I used to have a desire to go visit London. Not anymore. I loved going to Paris (went twice in two years). But with everything turning to shit politically there as well, the main reasons I loved Paris may no longer exist. As someone who was born in the bay area of California and used to visit San Francisco and dream of moving their some day, I watched in real time how much that city changed over the course of a decade or two. Now you couldn't pay me to live in San Francisco. If I wasn't married and happily living here in Seattle I would probably be thinking
I sort of feel like I am glad my time working full time in society will be coming to an end. I no longer go into an office and will likely be retired (at least from my job) within a decade. I am not sure I could handle working in a company where these boneheads have any actual say in how these companies will be run. We have seen first hand the effects of younger CEOs taking over companies and running them into the ground, without any real care for profits or their stock price. Even people who own companies seem willing to take considerable fiscal damage to their companies in the name of wokeness. When the fundamental purpose of running a company (to provide a service and make enough money to make sure all employers and owners make a living) is replaced with the purpose of making sure your workplace is woke in everything they do, then how does a company survive?
Now there seems to be pushback right now on much of this. The pendulum seems to be swinging back towards meritocracy and away from DEI. But this feels like something that simply will not go away quietly. The pendulum may just continue to swing back and forth for some time. Many in the Z generation have been fully indoctrinated into this agenda. It will be difficult to convince them that what they have been taught is as stupid as it really is. It certainly didn't appear that the previous Twitter management ever figured it out even after they run Twitter into the ground and most of them lost their jobs. It was not the fault of an impossible to succeed business strategy. It was the fault of Elon Musk for buying the 77 billion dollar company for little over half of that amount.
All I can say is that there is a huge opportunity for people to be successful by simply doing the opposite of what these people are doing. Of course, this is why these people want to criminalize the behavior of those who do not follow their woke agenda. In a free market, they will lose every time.
My company isn't there yet with the pronoun displays, but I suspect it's only a matter of time since we did give million$ to Sharpton's National Assclown Network and some other minority-focused outfit during the Saint Floyd of the Fentanyl street festivals.
CNBC just ran a story about how so many juvenile lunk heads are discovering how hard it is to find a job when they list their pronouns on their resume. So you tell the world that you're suffering from a debilitating mental illness and as a result no one wants to hire you. Say it ain't so.
