Things going poorly for Hunter in trial so far, but will it matter?

Most claim that there is no defense for Hunter Biden. He is just looking for one person who feels sorry for him or is politically aligned and decides to hang the jury

Most everyone suggests that this is the sort of slam dunk case that almost never goes to trial. The defendant pleads guilty to some charge and does his time, knowing he has no defense in court. But in 2024 the defense could be little more than having the last name of Biden.

Obviously this would ultimately work the opposite of the Trump trial in New York. In that trial we had a jury willing to look past the lack of evidence and find him guilty anyways. I am guessing this one will work the same way, only the opposite. This isn't DC so he will not be acquitted (as Michael Sussman was), but there is a pretty good chance that someone will take the low road and hold out. Not because the evidence suggests as much, but because that is just the way it works in our politically hostile country.

I sort of hope he does see a hung jury. Then it will simply be more proof that you cannot trust the judicial system any further than you can throw it.
