There should be an LGB community and a separate TQ+ community.

Seems like the former and the latter are on two different planes of existence.

Now I concede that there are many gay, lesbian, and bi-sexual people who support the transgender and queer community. A good percentage of them do. But there are also many who feel slighted, if not pushed out by a generation who seems more interested in finding a gender of the day than they do in celebrating what alternate lifestyles has always been about. You hear some modern-day people community advocates refer to gays and lesbians as monosexual, lumping them in with straight people as not really worthy of being part of the new revolution.
Moreover, is you are LGB person who just wanted to be accepted, get married, not be legally discriminated against, then you have acquired a decent status here in the United States. It will never be perfect. There will be haters. But the LGB community has acquired much of what they strive for. The modern-day fight over transgender rights and such would only be personal for them if they choose it to be. They may feel more sympathy for this type of thing, because they have dealt with discrimination, but when they are currently dealing with discrimination coming from the community itself, then that sympathy can wane.
Today, when you hear someone say that they are an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, it invariably means that they are advocating for "trans rights". This is 99% of what these community activates are pushing. They want biological men in women's bathrooms, they want them on women's sports teams, and they seem especially keen on pushing transgenderism on children. Believe it or not, this is not universally popular with the entire community, especially when it starts making the entire community look bad. There are some who are basically saying... get off my side.
The media loves to play into this. As if there is no difference between a man who is attracted to another man and someone trying to convince a 12-year-old to take hormone blockers and start thinking about removing their genitals. They never report on someone as simply a trans supporter, or someone as just being anti-trans. They report that anything pro-trans is pro-LGBTQ+ and anything that undermines transgenderism is anti-LGBTQ+. This makes it seem like the particular trans issue involved is actually bigger and more representative than it actually is and of course tries to rally the entire community to their side. Whatever the reasoning, it is basically a lie.
I suspect that over time, you will see people who are just normal gay or lesbian (without any of the other kinks) becoming more and more detached from where the new community is heading. Eventually there may actually be a real separation between the two ideologies.
Ideally, the fissures between the groups become more pronounced and they go to war and start shooting each other.
I'll happily stand idly by and enjoy the action.
