The three teachers have the opportunity to return to teaching positions within the Barrington School District should they choose to do so, at the steps they would have been at had they worked continuously. Each individual will receive a payment of $33,333, along with back payments: Stephanie Hines ($65,000), Kerri Thurber ($128,000), and Brittany DiOrio ($150,000). Attorney fees totaling $50,000 will be paid to the teachers’ legal counsel.
There was never any reason to "force" teachers to get the jab. No more than there was any reason to force anyone to get the jab as a means to keep their job. Especially when it was determined fairly early on that the vaccines were not working as designed. The idea of firing people for this was virtue signaling and more-less a political statement. The only people skeptical enough to not get an unproven experimental vaccination were conservatives. This irritated the loving hell out of liberals who wanted everyone to be sheep like them. I guess misery (and stupidity) loves company, huh?
Well, hindsight being 20/20 and all, the concept of this requirement looks stupid. Moreover, to not provide exceptions for religion and other medical reasons is unconstitutional. But ultimately they keep their jobs. Get paid for not working. Have attorney's fees paid and were provided an extra $33 grand to boot. Sounds like justice was served!
