During an interview yesterday where Biden spends 90% of it explaining why he is not dropping out of the race, the entire focus is on the fact he stated that being told by a doctor that he has a serious medical condition would be the only reason he would decide to drop out.
"So you are saying, there is a chance" was a famous line from dumb and dumber, a movie that seems to fit the actions of the Democratic Party right now.
Oh, and Chuck Schumer stopped by his house on Saturday and told him it would be better for the country if he dropped out. Now Schiff gives the whole we lose with Biden and he might be better off dropping out, but ultimately it is his decision speech.
So that means it is now just a matter of when, apparently....
But if Schumer had convinced him to drop out, why give an interview where you defend the fact that you are still in the race three days later? Now I understand that a decision to drop out probably wouldn't be announced till "after" the Republican convention, but then why give interviews? Why continue to contradict yourself here. If he was trying to drop a hint at dropping out, then why go so full throttle on the idea of why he is the best candidate and argue with the interviewer about it.
Then they come in with some internal polling that shows alternate candidates running an average of three points ahead of Biden in the battleground states and others like Wes Moore (who?) and Josh Shapiro running five points ahead of Biden. Of course this sort of feels like people are more likely to say they will vote for someone they never heard rather than having a good reason to vote that way. In fact, the alternate with the worse numbers is actually Kamala Harris, who has the most recognition. Oddly, this all runs counterintuitive to how most unknown candidates perform against better known candidates. Generally people will not commit to voting for someone they don't know and one would especially feel that is true for a Presidential race? Why Wes Moore, exactly? Hmmm... that seems suspicious as well.
All that being said, when I looked at the numbers, they claim that on average that 3% of the voters could switch their alternate vote to the Democratic candidate if Biden dropped out while 1% of the voters would switch to Trump if Biden dropped out. I am not sure how that comes out to three points, but what do I know. Also, does the poll really address how it is that Biden leaves the race? Something tells me that pushing him out at the convention would be less popular for voters than seeing him decide on his own.
Oh, and that poll ended prior to the assassination attempt. That is another problem.
Now... lastly. The latest rumor is that the Covid thing is proof he is on his way out. He tests positive for Covid, which means he is cancelling a couple of speeches as far as his public stance, but of course privately he has made his decision to drop out, and will use Covid as his excuse and claim it is a serious medical condition. Yep... so you are telling me there is a chance! I guess time will tell. But I keep saying what I keep saying. The longer he stays in the race, the harder it will be to drop out. I feel like he has passed several drop dead dates already. But like a broken record.... the next 72 hours or so... will be crucial!

“Trump is brushing off assassin’s bullets like dirt off his shoulder, racking up a mile long rap sheet of the fakest & gayest felonies known to man, chased through civil court by crazy-eyed harridans deranged by how horny he makes them. Joe Biden has jello for supper at 4pm.”

Brandon doesn't have Covid. He has dementia.
2/3's of democrats want him gone.
He's going back to Rehoboth to figure out how to exit while maintaining a shred of dignity. Chances of that are slim since he's the most spectacular and galactic failure of a president in the history of the Republic, and he deserves all of the humiliation this nation can muster.
