The ridiculous liberal argument about Iran.

They want to argue that Trump broke the "agreement" with Iran and that is why they are trying to build nuclear weapons?

So to begin with, the agreement with Iran allowed them 24 days between the inspectors wanted to inspect something and when they could. A 24-day wait is not a valid inspection, but rather a game of whack a mole. Is there any reason why anyone would demand 24 days if they were not hiding anything?

Secondly, the commitments started to end in 2025 when Iran could start to increase both the number and the power of their centrifuges. In fact, they were allowed to start some of their "testing" sooner. Keep in mind, that the agreement in place was only designed to move the time to weapons grade from a few to approximately a year (from 20% to 3.7%). That means that if Iran made it to the end of the deal, they could openly move to weapons grade, and it would be perfectly acceptable. They would be a nuclear power no more than one year after completion of our agreement. That one year assumes they were actually sticking with the 3.7%.

Which brings us to the truly alarming part. The entire deal technically would have ended in October of 2025, even though it was suggested that the commitments would continue to be followed up through 2030 for some portions. So much for trust but verify. I guess if Iran behaved till 2025, then no reason not to trust them moving forward. At least that is how one might interpret the deal in question.

But as it stands, rather than Iran being at best about 12 months away from weapons grade uranium or at worst a few weeks, the regime that we made this silly deal with is no more. While nobody can guarantee that they have not snuck some 20% enriched uranium to other undisclosed locations, the people who wanted to create nuclear weapons are all dead. Meanwhile, we will likely have a much better relationship with whatever leaders take over, and there is little reason to suspect they will be trying to stockpile uranium any time soon. One might think that they learned their lesson.

How do you negotiate with a mind that believes the 13th Mahdi, who was born around 869AD and is hiding in a well ready to pop out and become the 12th Imam???

At the time the agreement was originally codified, every honest person on the earth with an IQ higher than room temperature knew the 24 day inspection notice was there to provide the mullahs with time to hide/move the evidence of their nuclear capabilities from the "inspectors."

One had to be "alky-stupid" to believe otherwise.
