The liberal mindset is alive and not-so-well at WaPo!

The so called journalist at the Washington Post react to layoffs by demanding a new owner?

So apparently the Washington Post is going through layoffs that will affect approximately a third of their staff. This comes after many pleas from ownership and leadership that these writers need to start writing things that people want to read, or something like this would most certainly happen. Of course, these writers simply didn't listen and now as the paper continues to lose more and more money, they believe that the best way to right the ship is to just replace the owner. Yep, the problem isn't that people are not reading the paper anymore, the problem is that the owner doesn't want to subsidize the losses that come from less people reading.

Now in case you are wondering, I am not just assuming this is the case. The employees of WaPo have openly come out with the demand that Jeff Bezos sell the company to someone willing to "invest in the mission" of what they believe that the paper stands for. Of course, that mission is not defined by anyone other than those who want to continue to write the sort of nonsense that has put them in the position they are currently in.

Now from a historical standpoint, the Washington Post was once a respected national newspaper that has fallen into the same trap that most media has fallen into. What I am referring to, of course, is how most all of our legacy media has become an extension of the Democratic Party political apparatus. They simply pass along the appropriate liberal Democratic talking points and then play dumb as to why a majority of the country no longer wants to read them or listen to them. This is no different than what happened to MSNOW (a cable news channel so horrible that NBC did not want to even be affiliated with them). We can see the same thing playing out across the board, with some media trying to change and other media doubling down on the bias. The larger issue is that there is a new attitude among the billionaires these days that seems to be moving away from a lock step idea that liberalism is the way to go 100% of the time. Not sure how many billionaires are looking to buy a failing newspaper so these snowflakes can continue to be paid to write rubbish.
