The left's attack on the Jews really an attack on western civilization as a whole...

Whether they actually understand this or not is a different question

Who would have predicted that the year 2023 would be the year that liberalism is exposed as a hate group that aligns itself with the Nazi ideal of extermination of the Jewish state and Jewish people. But that is exactly where we are at today. I mean, you really cannot make this stuff up.

All across the globe, liberals are showing their anti-Semite colors. Not all liberals, mind you. Some such as Franken-Fetterman are 100% on board with Israel (and he is taking heat for it). But where you see anti-Semitism you see liberals. It's not like you see a whole lot of Trump supporters tearing down Israeli hostage signs or attending pro-Hamas rallies. The world is burning and the liberals are cheering it on. The only real question is why?

The theory floated by McCarthy is that liberals and the radical Islamic terror community share the same common goal of destroying Western culture as we know it. Liberals have been telling how broken everything is for some time. Anti-police, anti-law, anti-white, anti-business, anti-corporation, anti-this, anti-that. Pretty much anti everything that defines our American heritage. They simply want radical change and they want it yesterday. Islamic radicals just want to destroy everything in the world that does not bow to Allah and follow the Koran. As McCarthy suggests, liberals are willing to partner with those who would be happy to stone them to death for their beliefs... as long as the goal is to jointly destroy America and Western society as a whole. What happens next is too far into the future to consider. Let's just get the destruction done.

I have also heard the theory that our younger liberal generation has been taught that the entire world is a binary place where there are only two groups of people. The oppressed and the oppressor. Once they identify which is which, they can then justify whatever else that comes along. A life long criminal scum of the earth dies with three times the lethal doze of fentanyl dies and the unsolicited honest original untainted autopsy suggested a drug overdose... all turned into an excuse to burn down thousands of businesses, cause billions in damages, push policy to undermine the very concept of police. Why? Because the criminal was the oppressed. The cop murdered him, even if the evidence said differently.

Millions in damages, dozens of injured cops, in national riots in 2017 were justified because the United States elected the "bad orange man"... because he was obviously an oppressor. The pretense was a "stolen election" but perhaps all the rioting, injuries, destruction across the entire country was about the bigger issue of oppression/oppressed. That makes as much sense as anything else.

Not sure that both theories are not correct in their own ways and work together to bring us to the point where a large portion of this country are backing radical Islamic terrorists who are openly set on a second holocaust of the Jewish people. Obviously these Americans taking that side know this (even as they refuse to acknowledge it). They are just willing to ignore it over the bigger issue that apparently the Jews (who are indigenous to Israel) are oppressive for not wanting to be wiped off the face of the earth. The oppressed are the Muslims who pack themselves into Gaza and the West Bank because they apparently want to be first in line when their people get around to wiping out the Jewish race of people now living where they want to live.

Obviously this is a stupid and requires both ignorance and cognitive dissonance. But it is little more than lockstep (or shall we say goosestep) group think that our younger generation seems hopelessly unable to resist.

So far, there still appears to be enough decent Americans who are willing to stand up for what is right and you see it everyday with adults rescinding job offers or telling the adult adolescence running our higher education that if this is what they are teaching, then their graduates will not be hired. But none of that seems to matter (at least not for now). More to the point is that this is a fragile situation and there may be a tipping point where more and more liberals slip down the slope of becoming antisemites just to stay in the good graces of the "in crowd". Once that starts to snowball... well. I shutter to think about it.
