Yet as Pride became an accepted part of American society, Pride itself metastasized into a movement utterly unrelated to gay rights. It became an umbrella movement that includes anything remotely “Queer,” including transgenderism, sex workers, Minor Attracted Persons (pedophiles), and furries.
This was exactly what the opponents of gay marriage feared and often predicted, and in this case, they were right to be concerned. It turns out that slippery slopes are real, not an imagined phenomenon.
This is especially true when an underlying premise of an idea is that fundamental reality doesn’t exist; if everything is a concept derived from our imagination, then there is no firm ground to stand on when making distinctions. The argument against gay marriage was simple, as was the argument for it. Today’s alphabet arguments are about completely eradicating the foundations of reality.
This is an opinion that echoes exactly what I have been thinking and saying for some time. The only difference here is that I believe liberalism in general (not just the pride community) are out to alter how we fundamentally view reality.
Is there really much of a difference between demanding you can "believe" that you are a different biological sex while expecting to have your belief accepted as reality and say creating new versions of history (1619) that provides for a larger black contribution to the founding of our nation?
We have teachers who insist that the idea of math equations having an actual set answer is both racist and unfair. Science and the concept of a scientific theory is no longer something you must prove, but rather it is something you need to have run by others to garner a scientific consensus. A consensus, that of course, can be limited to those whom you desire and can exclude anyone you think might not be on board.
Words and ideas liberals don't like are now virtual violence because they deem them so. Their violent response to these words and ideas is simply their free speech. Because free speech is now about shutting down others who want to express their view. Can't have an opposing view in a free society, because then liberals are not free to not have to hear opposing views.
The list goes on and on and on... but certainly the entire concept of the transgender community and the manner in which they are glamorizing it at children is the line crossed that should not have been crossed. While it might not be the "most" important fundamental issue we have with opinion versus reality, it becomes the poster child of the situation. A situation where we are attempting to normalize dangerous and irreversible life altering medical treatments that cause infertility, impotence, and other issues. These treatments will eventually include surgeries that will basically destroy a person's natural genitalia and replace it with a facsimile of the opposite sex's genitalia, although it is almost certain to not work well enough to produce orgasm or other normal sexual functions with anything close to how your natural genitalia worked.
This is being aimed at children because adolescence is when most gender dysphoria takes place. Of course 90 percent of people who suffer from gender dysphoria as children will eventually becomes perfectly comfortable with their gender and natural body after puberty. But the groomers would rather see those 90% follow through on an unnecessary intrusive medical procedure and be unhappy, then to require the 10% to wait until after puberty to make the decision. This is all being treated as if you were just putting a child in braces to fix crooked teeth.
Our society is reaching the crossroads. Will we all succumb to a world where nothing is real unless the right people in society says it is? Or will we continue in the reality based world where things make sense and reality doesn't just change like the wind.
Went to a recent event here that was put on by my wife and some friends who dance together. A showcase of sorts and because they needed extra performances to fill the time they rented and because many of our friends are in the "community" - there was a drag queen who performed as an extra act. I have seen them perform before and it is always fun to watch. Actually good dancers, good choreography, and such. In fact, I saw many last summer during the "pride festival" that took place in Capital Hill.
This one took off her coat to reveal she was wearing a "bud light" costume... and there you have it. What was a fun little show…
The sad part about it is that I know a lot of people within the "community" - especially here in Seattle. Most of them are the nicest people you want to run across. But the whole thing becomes poisoned by some who have to be political and angry all the time. Drag shows used to be fun and generally a bit off the wall.
Or worse, our fallen heroes get a single day - Memorial Day - and the pillow biter's & tranny nutbags get a whole fucking month.
Fuck these assholes, fuck their mental illnesses, fuck their pronouns, and fuck their psycho fucking delusions.
They're free to wallow in their mental illness. They're NOT free to require me to acknowledge it or participate in it.
How is it that we celebrate all mothers in America for one day but the LGBTQ ETC community for a whole month?
