Democrats still way behind their 2020 early vote totals and nobody seems to care.
Earlier in the week, the Democrats held a 56.9-32.8 lead meaning they are not keeping up their percentage. Moreover, the GOP is within about 60,000 votes of equaling their 2020 early vote total, while the Democrats are still 750,000 away from their 2020 early vote total.
In 2020, Democrats returned 64% of the early ballots and Biden won 76% of this vote. Harris is going to be lucky to win 60% of a much smaller number (there was 2.7 million early ballots in 2020). I hate to keep beating the Pennsylvania early vote totals, but this really should be more alarming than some are making it out to be. Are Democrats really expecting 600-700 thousand more same day voters as they got in 2020 while believing that the GOP will not increase their total?
I am not sure why people are not making a bigger deal out of this, as early voting is one of the true metrics we can gather (that is not just a poll, a guess, or a prediction based on math). Aren't a few hundred thousand votes something others should be noticing or talking about?
