So apparently math is not popular enough to be an area of study anymore?

Marymount is moving to cut theology and religious studies as well as a host of other traditional subjects like philosophy, mathematics, art, history, sociology, English, economics, and secondary education as degree subjects. All of these subjects, according to the university and its President Irma Becerra, “lack of potential for growth.”

Cue Pink Floyd and Another brick in the wall again. These are just kids who don't need no education, at least not in subjects like Math, English, Economics, or History. But it seems like even if you teach these subjects, it's not like anyone seems to be learning.

Living in Seattle I have met quite a few interesting people. Not bad people mind you. Just interesting and mostly very liberal. The funny part is the degrees that many of these people have and the complete lack of anything practical that they seem to be able to do with them. I know people with doctorates who work simple jobs and don't know how to drive. I know business majors who could not be trusted to balance a checkbook in real life. Again, nice people. Just not very well equipped to deal with life, which we learned recently is apparently the fault of our educational system as well.

So apparently Trig and Calc should be replaced with "coping with a 40 hour work week" and "how to accept working for a manager". Composition and Brit Lit can be replaced with "learning how to get along with co-workers" and "how to be on time for work". Micro and Macro economics might be replaced with "how to spend less money than you earn."

The sad thing here folks, is that other students in other parts of the world are sucking it up and taking math, economics, and other useful subjects and they are not complaining that school left them ill-equipped to manage a job. These will be the people running the world, and our GenZers will be asking them if they want to supersize that Double Quarter pounder with cheese.

I'm starting to wonder what, if anything, is going to be left of our nation after this merry band of Marxist fuckwits is finished with it.

This is cool. Now we get to see the "get woke, go broke" mantra applied to the Federal Government writ large -

President Biden signed an executive order on Thursday that critics warn will allow for the creation of woke artificial intelligence (AI) that "promotes racial division and discrimination."
The order directs all federal agencies to establish a yearly "equity action plan" aimed at helping "underserved communities."
In one section under "Embedding Equity into Government-wide Processes," the Director of the Office of Management and Budget is instructed "to support equitable decision-making, promote equitable deployment of financial and technical assistance, and assist agencies in advancing equity, as appropriate and wherever possible."
The section gives further instructions regarding AI, "When designing, developing,…
