Well sure, but what difference does it make?

So what is going on here exactly? Well one is a memo where it is suggested that they are not allowed to take about Political Figure 1 - and the other is a definition of who Political Figure 1 actually is (Joe Biden). Because Joe Biden was the nominee for the President, apparently the DOJ was not just banning any investigations into Joe, but were demanding no "mention" of Joe Biden as even part of an investigation of Hunter.

However, the warrant was supposed to be to search the Biden residence for information there about Hunter Biden (not Joe). But even just including the Biden residence was apparently a no-no because it would then reference political figure 1.

So to recap. DOJ investigators had reason to get a warrant for the Biden residence in order to look for things associated with Hunter and their on-going investigation (which could have also implicated Joe). This was shut down because they were not allowed to reference Joe Biden in any manner shape or form. They were told that nothing regarding Joe Biden could be included in any documents. Therefor, they were not allowed to ask for the warrant to search the Biden residence, because the warrant had to mention the residence associated with Joe.

Pretty slick. It was like the Biden residence was Hunter's personal embassy where the US Government and law enforcement were not allowed to go...
