Seattle Storm Owner Suspended for five games after berating two 16 year girls.

The girls were wearing XX XY shirts and holding a sign showing support for Sophie Cunningham.

They were booed and harassed by other fans, and the co-owner went over to them and called them "insane" among other things. There were even calls for security to come and make them leave because of their shirts and signs, calling them trash that needed to be taken out. Apparently one of the two girls was literally driven to tears by all the harassment.

All of this is because they do not fall into the 20% of the crazies who believe biological men should play in women's sports and because they support Sophie Cunningham, who is becoming a lightning rod for the league because of her race, sexual preference, and opinions about biological men in women's sports.

I find this support of trans-athletes as an odd belief for fans of the WBNA to hold, largely because there are no biological men who play in the WNBA. Seems to me that you should practice what you preach and allow a couple of athletic 7 foot biological males to compete and see how it goes. Otherwise keep your trap shut about something you do not actually allow to happen in your league, or something that is unlikely to ever happen in your league.

Bottom line is that the Seattle Storm had to issue an apology and let everyone know that they believe in inclusion and that everyone should feel safe and welcome at these games. But of course this is just lip service as nothing will change with the WNBA and most of those who run the league or closely follow it will continue to believe that people like Sophie Cunningham and anyone who supports her should be silenced. According to the owner and fans of the Seattle Storm, they are insane trash that needs to be taken out.
