Do these people even understand the stupidity of such an idea?
You cannot make this shit up. People are actually arguing that Trump is lying about not having money to post bond and should be able to raise the money if he just sold Mar-a-Lago.
Yes, these are the same people who apparently agree that Trump over-stated the value of the estate and agree with the prosecutor's assessment that Mar-a-Lago was only worth $18 million.
Wait, if the property is only worth $18 million (which is why he is liable) then how is selling the property going to raise the money to post bond? My best guess is that either these people understand that the entire lawsuit is a scam and don't care, or are really stupid enough not to understand that the prosecutor and Judge made their ruling largely on the idea that Mar-a-Lago is worth a fraction of what Trump offered it was and also only a fraction of what the Bank suggested during their underwriting of various loans.
Taibbi is correct. Covid reminded us, didn't teach us because we knew it already, but reminded us that the US Government is to be despised and never trusted, and should always be nothing more than a subject of scorn and ridicule.
The NFL is banning "hip drop" tackles. I guess football was fun while it lasted?
