Rubio schools Van Hollen in Senate hearing!

Some of these liberals forget that Rubio came from the Senate and can play this game.

I was a fan of Rubio back in 2016 when he was branded as "little Marco" and I believe he is making me a fan again. I see him either at the top of the 2028 ticket or at the very least the VP nominee. This exchange with Van Holland was wonderful. Between Rubio and the Chairman they put Van Hollen in his place and oddly the actual witness is allowed to speak during a Senate hearing. I mean when was the last time you saw that happen?

SENATOR CHRIS VAN HOLLEN: And I have to tell you directly and personally that I regret voting for you for Secretary of State. I yield back.

SECRETARY OF STATE MARCO RUBIO: May I respond? Well, first of all, your regret for voting for me confirms I'm doing a good job, based on what I know.

SENATOR VAN HOLLEN: Mr. Chairman—

CHAIRMAN: Senator, I’d ask you to suspend. You had seven straight minutes.

A bit later:

In the case of El Salvador—absolutely, absolutely—we deported gang members, gang members including the one you had a margarita with. That guy is a human trafficker. That guy is a gang banger. And the evidence is going to be clear in the days to come. You want to—

SENATOR VAN HOLLEN: Chairman, he can’t make unsubstantiated comments like that.

CHAIRMAN: Senator, please, Secretary Rubio has the floor. You had your time.

Now Rubio went over a bunch of things that have been cut:
