RIP George Foreman

One of the most iconic boxers of any generation

Old enough to remember the original fights with Ali and Frasier. As an Ali fan myself (who wasn't) I didn't root for Foreman during that era. But man, you respected his skill. Forman was an animal.

On the flip side, I loved his comeback and rooted for him every time he stepped in the ring to teach some kid a lesson. He did pretty well and ended up as the oldest Boxing champion in history at the ripe young age of 48.

He became almost as famous for his personality, pushing his own tabletop grill and naming all of his children George. It was hard not to like him. At the end of the day, Hhe was a one-of-a-kind boxer and one-of-a-kind person and he will be missed.

great dude. I remember watching one of his fights when he came out of retirement. Knocked the guy out in the 1st round, when the announcer asked what he planned to do next, he said, “I plan to eat”
