Any chance I get to plug Susanna Hoffs, I will take it. She actually co-wrote Eternal flame which ended up being the biggest single ever released by an all-girl band. But personal 80s crushes aside, Steinberg was everywhere during that time period, obviously writing hit after hit after hit. He died at age 76.
I swear this morning when the news hit, my wife said,”What do you think will happen?”
I said, “It’s the UK, if he converts to Islam…..nothing”

Of course, some blame "Eternal Flame" for the eventual break up of the Bangles... as the push was to make a conscious decision to move away from the shared singing aspect of the band, and move towards Hoffs being more of a Belinda Carlyle style front-women. She was prominently displayed on that video. Apparently this concept did not go over with the other members of the band.
I’d prefer the Divinyls video, but she got real large shortly after. So Suzanna Hoffs was probably a better go to, best legs
