Republicans successful reopening of the Government just a distraction from the Epstein files.

Epstein, Epstein, Epstein!!!

The leftwing media is hailing the wonderful timing of the Democrats releasing more Epstein information on the same day that the House is voting on the Government reopening. Oddly, the headlines everywhere else are about the reopening rather than the files.

Who would have thought that the American public would be more interested in ending the longest shutdown in history than rehashing issues surrounding someone who has been dead for over six years.

So what are they rehashing? They re-released a couple of emails that are not new, and some additional emails surrounding Virginia Giuffre who already testified that she didn't have anything to suggest that Donald Trump knew anything about what was happening and that she never saw him do anything associated with the Epstein shenanigans. They redacted the name (even though the name is not redacted in the documents) so it would imply that it was someone else. The email is designed to make it look like Giuffre was not just a victim, but a victim of Donald Trump. This is classic slight of hand, designed to whip up a frenzy with the far left crowd who is still upset that they "caved" on the shut down deal. To that degree, I can attest that it worked. PoliticalWire.com has over a dozen stories linked today alone regarding Epstein, far exceeding stories about the shutdown ending. Moreover, if you check to see which stories have the most responses in the comment thread, the answer is Epstein, Epstein, Epstein.

Now what is really going to accomplish? Nothing in the long term and not much more in the short term. There is actually very little interest about these files with most people, and much of what is harmful to Trump has already been released via a variety of leaks and outright public disclosures of internal investigation information that probably should not be released. This is little more than a distraction that seems to come up whenever there is good news about the economy, the Government, or about Trump himself. Eventually it will lose all of it's juice. It is just a matter of time.
