Only the President is not above the law or something.

Democrats demanding that arresting liberals for violating the law or deporting people who are here illegally is akin to fascism.

Above the law. This is a hearty phrase that appears to apply in very limited situations. People who enter the country here illegally are apparently above the law. In fact, they can even break the law while being here illegally in the first place and Democrats still believe they are "above the law ". They are apparently entitled to more due process than the average American and apparently are even entitled to "do overs" if they are under deportation orders that were previously ignored.
Apparently breaking the law while protesting is also something that people are "above the law for" unless of course they were protesting Joe Biden's election. Then you go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200. But burning something down because a black person dies from a drug overdose? Keying a Tesla because you believe Musk is a Nazi. Dressing up as Antifa and attacking police just because? Harassing Jews or conservatives and even assaulting them because of Palestinians are not allowed to kill and rape enough Jews? Certainly, all these actions are above the law. Most involve little more than first amendment rights to break the law in protest, a right that of course doesn't exist.
A judge harboring illegal gang members? A judge openly and actively helping a criminal escape her courtroom to avoid federal agents with an actual warrant. These judges are not only above the law, but to extent that you might try to arrest them for breaking the law is considered fascist and possibly the first signs of a coup to take full control of the government by the nazi regime who were elected with 77 million votes.
Oddly, being above the law is only something that apparently takes place when Donald Trump does something that liberals do not like. Doesn't even matter if there is even a law in place. Just the idea that a district judge rules against Trump and Trump appeals or complains is enough to claim he is above the law. Earlier this week a Judge ruled against the Administration claiming they could not withhold funds from Sanctuary cities, however an appeals court in 2020 already ruled that they can. Of course, in some famous cases back in the day, the USSC ruled that the Federal Government could withhold funding from states who did not align with the 21-year-old drinking age. They also upheld a similar situation with speed limits (which were once limited to a high of 55). So yes, the Federal Government can withhold funding to states and cities who refuse to follow certain federal guidelines. The USSC has upheld this concept in general, and an appeals court upheld it specifically for sanctuary cities. But Trump trying to do this is apparently him being "above the law".
Right now, we have a MS-13 wife-beating human trafficker from El Salvator who is currently in El Salvador and the left is mad as hell that Trump is not bringing him back. Nobody seems concerned that this person broke the law, has been beating his wife based on both police reports and civil courts (restraining order), or has been using the truck of a known human trafficker to move undocumented people around. But they seem concerned that he was sent back to El Salvador against an old judge's order because he said he would be in danger from a gang that no longer exists. The fact that this criminal is in El Salvador and not home beating his wife or driving truck loads full of undocumented and unidentified people around for his human trafficking boss drives liberals mad and means that Trump is above the law. Again, the only one here breaking the law is the illegal alien from El Salvador and possibly the judge who ordered the President of the United States to order the President of El Salvador to return this criminal.
So not 100% sure here what Democrats mean when they say nobody is above the law. Because it seems a lot more like Donald Trump should not be allowed to behave as President even though he was elected to be President.
