Only a matter of time before red state prosecutors go after national Democrats

Pandora's box has been open

Harry Reid started something when he ended the filibuster for judicial nominees. It backfired when the Democrats no longer had control of the White House and Senate and the same tactics could be used by the GOP to appoint their own judicial nominees to the courts.

Now we have something similar here with a couple of rogue local prosecutors going after a national political figure over issues relating to a Federal election. We have a low level "county" prosecutor in Georgia trying to create an election interference crime (so far above the pay grade and office level it is downright silly). Now we have an actual indictment in the state of New York regarding a bookkeeping issue that a local prosecutor wants to tie to another Federal campaign crime that Trump was literally cleared of at the federal level.

So what is now to stop other prosecutors from other states to wallow into Federal territory and indict politicians that would be unpopular in that particular state? Find a conservative prosecutor, draw a conservative judge, put together a conservative jury and then convict some prominent Democrat (perhaps Nancy Pelosi for her Jan 6th treasonous lies) and sentence her to jail? I wonder how Liberals would feel about their own being tried in Arkansas or Idaho or god forbid Texas! It feels like this is just a matter of time.
