Obama endorses Spanberger...

But not Jay Jones? Are they conceding his loss at this point?

Well it is official. Democrats are worried about losing in Virginia. The past two polls for the Attorney General race shows the Republican Miyares up in the race, with the most recent showing him up by six points. Looks like Miyares might be pulling away.
Meanwhile there have been two polls showing the Governor's race basically within the margin of error. Spanberger is ahead in all polling, but off year elections are known to have suspect polling.
What has been happening on the ground gives Republicans more hope than the polls. As has been the case in the past couple of elections, the GOP has actually started to be bringing in more early voters by percentage than Democrats are. This has been a large reversal over just the past few years. Republicans decided if you cannot beat it (early voting) than join it. Join it they did, and now it may actually be working in their favor. Wouldn't it be ironic if the Democrats decided after all this time to join Republicans in limiting early voting to make things more consistent? The only real reason they have pushed for it previously is the fact that it has worked to their benefit. If it no longer benefits them, then who is to say that they will not start to agree with the GOP on the problems it creates?
Either way, this will be an interesting election. If the GOP wins the AG race, that will be one thing... but if they win the Governor's race (or make it extremely close) then that will shut up the Democrats stating how well they are doing in "special elections".
