New York Law that was used to fine Trump Org $350 million has poison pill.

Does not allow an appeal without depositing the full amount into a court account during appeal.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that a New York law cannot prevent Trump from appealing this at a federal level. I would offer that they can only prevent appeals within the state system. We will have to wait and see how that plays out.

Now Trump is a rich man, but I am pretty sure he does not have $400 plus million dollars in liquid assets to just put in an account. Maybe Elon Musk has that kid of money, but who knows if that is even the case. This whole thing just keeps getting more and more corrupt.

I thought the same thing... it would be the sort of thing Elon Musk would do. Then turn around and sue NY for interest when the Federal Courts rule the law and trial unconstitutional.

I'd love to see Elon Musk pony up the 10% bond.

Heirs lost too; this was Corruption of Blood.  Parliament could pass a bill addressing one specific individual, the Bill of Attainder, to seize the assets for their benefit. King Philip of France had the Knights Templar tortured in all manner of ways, expropriating their wealth to escape his large debts. Except for the Barons who forced King John to sign Magna Carta at Runnymede, this has always been the fate of the well to do under the absolute ruler. After Engoron’s opinion. NY Governess Kathy Hochul answered a public questioner who wondered If they could do this to Trump, should other business…

Gov. Kathy Hochul on Sunday insisted that the massive $355 million fraud fine slapped against Donald Trump won’t scare away or hurt New York businesses — because most local merchants abide by the law.

“I understand [that the Trump ruling might make New York business people fearful], but this is really an extraordinarily unusual circumstance that the law-abiding, rule-following New Yorkers who are businesspeople have nothing to worry about because they’re very different from Donald Trump and his behavior,” Hochul said on the “Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 radio.

Fucking stupid TWAT. Trump didn't break any laws. The banks who were his creditors testified in his favor for chrissakes.

Every Governor we have here in NY is thoroughly corrupt,…
