National Guard shooter Rahmanullah Lakanwal pleads not guilty?

I sort of wonder what his defense will be or are they thinking jury nullification?

Perhaps his legal team believes that in the city of Washington D.C. that there will be someone on the jury who will figure that the United States National Guard member simply had it coming and that the illegal Afghan terrorist was justified in shooting them. If there is a place where this guy could get off, it would be in D.C.
Or perhaps they are just looking for the spectacle of a big trial and all of the publicity it will generate. I guess if you are going to openly shoot two members of our military and not really hiding who you are or trying to get away with it, then publicity might be what you are looking for. You know, possibly get on the stand and provide some political narrative. Either way, if this guy gets off... then won't someone somewhere riot? Doubtful.
