We are looking at an unprecedented spending spree that puts us on course to add 20 trillion to the national debt over the next 10 years.
After running less than a handful of deficits that hit a trillion dollars due to circumstances (great recession and covid), the current leadership wants to run 1-2 trillion dollar deficits as a normal business model. Lord forbid we run into something else that requires extra spending. What sort of deficits could we be potentially looking at? The number could be staggering.
