More people believed Hillary should have been charged that Trump

56 believed Hillary should have been charged while only 48% believe Trump should have been charged

I am 100% convinced that there isn't a liberal in the deep state that cares what Americans believe or think of them. I am guessing they see themselves as some sort of elitist class who exists above those Neanderthals who might not follow their same believes.

The article I wrote about yesterday from Harry Litman included a fairly profound statement about how judges in Florida were all simply less sophisticated than judges from D.C. This, of course, is the prevailing thought pattern of most liberal elitists. They simply believe that they (and all other liberals) just know better. Not really about the law as much as about basic moral ideals about politics. A conservative judge nominated by Trump is no doubt simply an inferior human being to the liberal judge nominated by Obama or Biden. That just is true because it is true. No explanation necessary.

So if the general public doesn't agree with them or looks down on their institution, why would they be bothered by that. They should be no more bothered than a Parent who's 8 year old is upset that they must go to bed, rather than stay up and play more video games. They don't need to appease anyone, they just need to tell them what the rules are and make them live by them. The rules are that liberal politicians and liberals in general live by a different set of laws than conservative politicians and conservatives in general.

It's not just Hillary vs Trump either. It's the liberal who storms the capital building with 300 plus other liberals to obstruct the congressional act of passing Justice Kavanaugh through a committee vote.... and gets a $35 fine and citation. Versus the conservative who walks into the capital and back out without disturbing anything and finds themself facing actual criminal charges with jail time. $35 dollars vs jail time and both being charged with the exact same crime. The only difference is who committed the crime and why.

It's the liberal rioter who throws a brick at a Capital police officer and sends him to the hospital during the 2017 inauguration riot where hundreds are arrested for violent actions. This group sees liberal politicians rally around them, provide them with bail, and eventually help them all beat the charges. Then they celebrate. You know, because those police officers had it coming because of the bad orange man or something. Versus the man who throws a folding chair that injures nobody during the Jan 6th rally, and faces 14 years in prison, because he is a conservative who had the audacity to question Joe Biden's election victory.

So does it matter what the American public actually thinks? Not really. At least not to those liberals who exist in the DC state.
