Melania is looking at the best opening weekend for a documentary in over a decade.

Critics gave it a 6% while Rotten Tomatoes gave it 98%.

The legacy media must be devastated. Melania just had a huge box-office opening for a documentary, despite all the efforts to destroy the film before its release.

Deadline reports that Melania will finish the weekend in third place, with an $8 million opening.

Now back in the day an eight-million-dollar opening would have been underwhelming, but in 2026, eight million is not too shabby. In fact, the top movie of the weekend only did eighteen million. Not exactly Marvel, but that is where we are at. On top of the crazy high ratings from viewers, it is also "recommended" by 89% of the people who have seen in. They say this is almost unheard of.

Of course, the reports have to get into demographics, suggesting that the movie is overperforming with older people, white people, conservatives, and people who live outside of the 700K or larger metro areas. You know, as if that somehow undermines the box office results, because the crowd is not the demographics they prefer. Every liberal understands that the diverse folks from the big cities are more important than everyone else.

This has got to be killing the idiots who believe they run the arts and cinema. They did everything in their power to attack this film ahead of the release and yet it didn't matter. Perhaps they simply do not matter, at least not nearly as much as someone with the last name of Trump.
