Not sure she understands the criticism...
Much of the criticism of the Jan 6th committee is that they generally painted the Jan 6th protests with a brush wide enough to lump 40,000 people together with the actions of a few. They did this with a not so clever (but effective) use of rhetoric and video editing.
Nobody has ever suggested that there was "no violence" on Jan 6th. We all saw the initial mayhem at the front of the capital building. We all saw some people poking flagpoles at capital police. We all saw a person spray something at a group of police. We saw a handful of people throw things at officers. We all saw the initial wave of protesters push their way into the capital from the front of the building. We saw capital police officers knocked to the ground. We saw these things over and over and over and over and over and over.
I don't believe anyone is upset that any those people responsible for those acts were arrested and charged with a crime.
What the critics have simply suggested is that the committee and prosecutors lumped in perfectly peaceful people with those few who did commit violence. They made it out as if everyone who was there was violent. Everyone who entered the capital was a terrorist. Everyone behaved the in the manner that was depicted on that short video. If Cheney wanted to prove the point, she needs to do more than show us the same edited video that we have all seen dozens of times.
The problem for Cheney, the committee, and their credibility is that every video that shows people peacefully protesting, doing no more than carrying signs proves that they misrepresented the entire situation. Watching the police officers stand around seemingly unworried and unthreatened is even more further proof that the narrative of an "insurrection" was false. The difference between a riot and a full scale insurrection is fairly simple. A full scale insurrection actually would be hundreds or thousands attempting to physically and forcefully take over a government. Watching a video of a group of people walking down the hall with signs does not an insurrection make. That sort of behavior is called a protest. The fact that it happened in the capital complex is no different than protesters entering the complex to protest Judge Kavanaugh being confirmed or protesters entering the capital (as they did recently) to protest the war in the Middle East.
Another problem is that new video has surfaced that shows what was taking place just prior to the protesters moving through the barriers that were set up. These barriers, btw, were simply temporary fencing that created no real physical barrier. The barriers were there to separate where the protesters were allowed to be and where they were not allowed to be. These protesters could have picked them up and moved them at any time. They might as well have been velvet ropes.
New video shows that the Capital police were attempting to "break up the crowd" with tear gas and rubber bullets prior to the crowd acting out and moving past the barriers. There is a valid argument to be made here that at least some of the crowd issues were a "reaction" to being attacked by police officers. Maybe the attempt to break up the crowd was the main reason that all hell broke loose. But since we never actually did a real investigation into what happened, we don't know.
So Cheney's reaction was typical and expected. She simply reposted a video that was edited back in 2021 to show the worst of the worst as if it was typical. That not only proves nothing, but it further proves the point. For Cheney to actually push back on the criticism honestly and effectively, she would need to show us more than 31 second video. If there is 40,000 hours of video, I would think that you could find more than 31 seconds of violence.
Lastly, let's all agree that the GOP will likely cherry pick the video that they plan to release to make the most of their power here. They have already stated that it will come out over time and that not all of it will be released all at once. It is likely that we will see hundreds of hours of more "peaceful" protesting and that it is likely that anything depicting violence will be the last stuff that is put out there or will be buried within other releases. So we need to take some heed that there may be more out there that will make the protesters look bad. But I suspect that a vast majority of it 99% or more, will show a protest by peaceful Americans rather than the violent insurrection that the left has convinced their people it was.

UPDATE (FROM GLENN): I’d like to see Liz Cheney and Adam Schiff subpoenaed and questioned before committee on why they released deceptive and misleading video clips. Basically a what-did-they-know-and-when-did-they-know-it inquiry.
