This could put Rubio on track to make a run to be part of the 2028 ticket. Which part is still a guess. I am not sure that Rubio isn't a better choice than Vance given his experience, and Vance is still young enough to know his time could come. Technically both men are young enough. Perhaps both will be President someday. It wouldn't be the worst thing.

Meanwhile, the early buzz is that DeSantis might appoint himself Senator. That would be a pretty big wow, but perhaps there is a bigger one.

President Trump is not the only Trump to have moved to Florida. Don Jr and his girlfriend live not too far from Mar-a-Lago in a nine-million-dollar shack. Talk about a making a big move and making a big splash? Senator Donald Trump Jr? I don't know... but it might work. If not Don Jr, then what about Lara Trump? Donald the President seems to really be high on Lara, who actually thought about running for Senate in North Carolina. Eric and Lara have a five-million-dollar pad close by as well, making them Floridians as well. Either way, I would not be shocked to see a Trump in the Florida Senate.
