Not just dangerous, but this was an electrical storage facility for the California power grid.
California has been the poster child for alternate energy, but this situation shows us exactly how much downside there is to these ideas. Like many ideas, the success or failure depends on what tolerance there is for what might go wrong.
California already has issues with their electrical grid, largely due to woke ideas about climate changes and a battle to the death with fossil fuels. But storing your energy for an entire state in lithium batteries is only a good idea in the perfect world where things like this do not happen. But we do not live in a perfect world. We do not live in a country with enough electrical plug ins for EVs everyplace needed. We do not live in a country where we can live off electricity that is "clean". We are not really even close to either of these realities.
California would love to prove all of this wrong. They would love to prove that you can run a large state with 99% of your politics focused on climate change and woke liberal policies. Then something like this wildfire happens and reality hits them right between the eyes.
