Scott, even highly educated people like him and you make decisions upon feelings less than something logical. The hard right is getting stronger than I ever expected.

So halfbaked is referring to Jonathan Turley here as he implies that somehow it is Turley who is overcome with "feelings" rather than logic regarding the Twitter files.

Now Turley is well versed in constitutional law, obviously going to law school, passing the bar exam, and working in the field. He has worked in all three branches of the Government as a legal advisor. In fact, Turley was the lead counsel for Congress as they challenged portions of the Affordable Care act. Turley won that case as the courts ultimately determined that Obama had overstepped his boundaries as President in various areas. He is also a distinguished author and is currently a constitutional law professor at the prestigious George Washington law school. Oh, and Turley is considered the outmost expert on both the substance and the legalities of the Twitter files which is why he was chosen to testify regarding this. He wasn't chosen because he was emotional. He was chosen because he put in the work to read and understand what was being presented.

Halfbaked has no post secondary schooling and lives in a nursing home. He knows nothing about constitutional law and has no relevant legal experience. He hasn't even read the twitter files to have any idea what Turley is even referring to. But without actually understanding the law or even reading the Twitter files that are in question here, he believes that his version of the facts are based on logic.

What are halfbaked's facts? It appears to be little more than the the opening statement of Joe Pesci from the movie my Cousin Vinny where Pesci wakes up and declares "everything that other guy said is bullshit". There is not really any counter argument provided. He just seems to believe that the Constitutional law professor who has studied the files is the one who doesn't understand logic and is overwhelmed with emotion. Well because Turley must be just emotional. Otherwise the well educated and informed attorney would be right and the uneducated and ill-informed nursing home resident would be wrong. Can't have that.

The problem isn't halfbaked. The real problem is that halfbaked literally represents most liberals today. They refuse to educate themselves on anything and they refuse to read or acknowledge information that they find troubling (cognitive dissonance). They will listen to anything anyone from the left tells them, as long a it makes them feel better (bias confirmation). Generally this is done by someone (who claims to be an expert) suggesting that the facts on display may look obvious but are actually just "Russian disinformation" or some sort of conservative conspiracy theory. They will provide no real reasons to distrust the facts in question. They just expect their word to be taken. These experts will do so (as they did with the Hunter laptop story) already knowing that they are peddling fiction. But they know the tendencies of their weak-minded followers and how to exploit it. They also know that there will be no consequences for being wrong.

Being liberal means never having to apologize for being wrong about anything, since otherwise that would be all they had time to do. Doesn't matter if it was Russian collusion that wasted two years of our political lifetime. There was no apology. Hunter laptop story being squelched. No apology. Being wrong about Covid, vaccines, masks, Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin, pretty much all of it. An apology? I mean people literally died because of these lies and they still will never apologize. When it comes to uncomfortable realities, they simply see no evil, hear no evil, and allow nobody to speak any evil without a fake rebuttal that they know is a lie.

Why is the "right" becoming stronger than halfbaked (and others) expected. Well that is what happens when the truth, facts, and reality are on your side. Lies only last so long and there are less dishonest people to fight reality than someone like halfbaked would like to believe there is. Their last hope is the public school indoctrination of our children against the will of American parents. Once they lose that fight (and they will) they will have nothing left but the unbelievable lies that their influencers tell. That will eventually fail too. Then maybe the left can pull their collective heads out of their arse and possibly becomes a functioning ideology again.
