Liberals in a tizzy over the Don Lemon indictment.

Same law has been used to prosecute people for praying on public property too close to an abortion clinic.

So this law was originally written to prevent people from harassing medical patients who were entering abortion clinics. As a compromise to gather enough votes to pass the bill, the same protections were put into place for places of religious worship. So at this point any legal principle the law provides for abortion clinics is also provided by law to churches, mosques, and synagogues. If you can prosecute someone for quietly praying near an abortion clinic under the pretense that this constitutes "intimidation" or "obstruction" then you can certainly prosecute someone for going "into" a protected church and interrupting or interfering with the service.

Imagine, for a minute, if someone decided that they would enter an abortion clinic without invitation, disrupt the operation of the clinic, not leave when asked, obstruct the entrance, get in the face of the director, and then claim that you had a legal right to do so because you had a video camera and microphone. Nobody in their right mind would ever make that argument as it pertained to an abortion clinic, so what makes them think they can make that argument at a church?

Well, the answer is obvious. The left is above the law because liberal opinion trumps the law. Just because the law is supposed to treat places of worship the same as abortion clinics, doesn't mean it should actually be treated as such. Keith Ellison was one of many liberal AGs to make his argument, suggesting that the law really was not designed to protect churches (in spite of the fact it does). Many other liberal legal hacks have tried to torture the meaning of the law to come up with a way it should not apply to Don Lemon, even as they would still argue that you cannot quietly pray on public property too close to an abortion facility. The legal disconnect is astounding, but then again... I am astounded everyday by liberal logic.
