Liberals continue to jump the shark by screaming at the top of their lungs over everything

One thing after another and the Putin Trump Zelensky deal yesterday was a prime example

So one of the best examples of this behavior is the now viral idea that a whole bunch of US farmers are losing farms because of Elon Musk. This, of course, makes no sense Musk has been working for just a couple of weeks and their concentration has largely been on USAID, which is exclusively supposed to be for foreign aid.

Of course, we know that USAID hedges some of this to provide paid subscriptions to themselves and others in the federal government, but on paper everything is supposed to be foreign aid of some sort. Now Musk decides we should cut several million dollars for comic books, eliminate DEI training in other countries, or stop funding transgender clinics and suddenly someone (specifically a Trump voter) is losing a farm. These liberals know this because a friend of a friend knows a Trump supporter who lost his farm because of these cuts and now is upset he voted for Trump (and they do not feel sorry for them).

Of course even if DOGE has actually decided to cut funding for domestic agriculture there is nothing that could happen in 20 days to actually see a farmer go bankrupt. But it doesn't stop liberals from demanding it has happened and they personally have witnessed it, or know someone who personally knows someone who personally witnessed it happening to someone's uncle's bowling buddy.

Forget about the constitutional crisis. Musk is quite literally taking people's farms from them. Probably giving them away to other billionaire friends too. When he is not doing that, he is trying to take grandma's social security check, apparently because he needs some extra spending money. I am quite certain it will be just a matter of time before the cousin of the guy who lost his farm to Elon Musk will no longer be getting his social security check. Many liberals will have witnessed it first hand.

But yesterday I watched something evolve in real time and it would seem that stopping time has become another means to jump the shark. So it turns out that Trump talked to both Putin and Zelensky yesterday and there is a delegation (including Vance and Rubio) to start some negotiations into ending the war. But between the time that Trump had talked to Putin and then to Zelensky the entire left side of the media had exploded into the concept that Trump and Putin were going to get together (without Zelensky) and hammer something out.

This was all quite obviously for Putin's benefit and possibly (can't make this stuff up) repayment for Putin stealing the 2016 election for Trump. The two of them, sans Zelensky, would decide the fate of Ukraine. Less than an hour or two had gone by before Trump offered that he had spoken to Zelensky and that there would be negotiations starting Friday in Munich. But it did not appear that Politico or PolicalWire or anyone else on the left caught that news. They were still too excited and upset over the reality that Trump was personally negotiating with Putin and they ranted about it long after the delegate negotiations had been announced. Even today, it would appear that Politico has doubled down suggesting that Zelensky was not in favor of negotiations between Trump and Putin to end the war without Ukraine involved. Well I would hope not.

Now there may be some separate negotiations where our US delegations meets separately with the two countries and negotiate as a go between. There may be as more of that than there would be in face negotiations that include everyone at the same table. But the idea that the US is not going to negotiate with Ukraine is nonsensical and simply not true. But again, what does the truth have to do with everything.
