Kimmel flat out lied and many on the left don't seem to understand that it was even a lie.

This is the problem with group think and circle jerking. People start to believe things that are objectively not true and refuse to listen to anything else.

Jimmy Kimmel went on the air and suggested that Tyler Robinson was a MAGA Republican and tried to mock conservatives for arguing differently. This is not funny. It has no comedic value. It should not be part of any late night comedy television show. The fact that he followed a blatant lie with him making fun of conservatives over the death of Charlie Kirk does not make his lie a set up for his comedy routine. This is projection. Plain and simple. It is Jimmy Kimmel desperately trying to cling to the idea that Robinson is somehow a MAGA hat wearing conservative, while suggesting the other side is the one desperately clinging. The only thing that could have made it more obvious is if there was some sort of pop-up on the screen declaring that it was projection.

Now there are questions as to whether or not his show was pulled because of some concern with the FCC or because of political pressure from the President. But at issue was the fact that many ABC affiliates were not going to be airing Jimmy Kimmel after these comments. In other words, it was the people at the local levels who were going to be running local programming or some rerun in that time slot regardless of what ABC did. ABC would be taping a show that actual televisions stations were not going to be airing. So it is probably much more likely that ABC reacted to this revolt of the affiliates more-so than because they were afraid of losing their license or being punished by the FCC. Either way, Jimmy Kimmel has been yanked and the era of angry white liberal men attacking and lying about conservatives while pretending to be late night comedians might be coming to an end.

As I watched the CNN meltdown over this, they were also desperately trying to suggest that Kimmel was not lying about Tyler Robinson. They, of course, suggested there are many ways to look at the situation and that he was legitimately attacking MAGA for pushing back on suggestions that Tyler Robinson was a MAGA supporter. It is almost as if they still believe that somehow, someway, that Robinson (who was bi-sexual, in a relationship with a Trans person, and actively involved in the LGBTQ+ cause) was somehow still a red hat wearing MAGA Trump voter. Now whether they do or do not believe this, they certainly believe that it is acceptable to push this narrative. Once again, advocacy journalism rears it's ugly head. In the 2025 world of advocacy journalism, telling a lie to further a good cause is perfectly acceptable and any attempts to make sure our media is not spreading lies is simply censorship.

Now censorship is one thing. But pulling someone from the air because they made insensitive comments, told flat out lies to push a political narrative, and used a comedy show to do so, may just be good old fashion business. After all, Jimmy Kimmel earns 16 million a year to preach his angry leftist politics to approximately 1 million Americans a night. They cannot be doing any better than CBS was doing with Stephen Colbert. There was a time when Johnny Carson got a 62% share of the audience. You know... back with late night comedy shows were funny. Now these hacks all together cannot touch the ratings that the current President got back when he was starring and producing The Apprentice television show. I wonder if deep down, that drives them crazy?

Either way, we will see what the future holds for Kimmel. The CNN panel suggested that major networks need to find the courage to continue putting these people on the air or that start-ups would come in and provide these people with slots. Sure. Go ahead. A show with a following of 1 million viewers might make a decent podcast, but would pale in comparison to the Charlie Kirks and Joe Rogans of today. Whether he eventually comes back on the air with ABC or now it up in the air. But will someone (should someone) pay him 15 million a year for that limited of an audience? Especially with almost no attempts by Kimmel to reach out and expand beyond what he is determined to do?

Unity Achieved: MAGA Supports Democrat Boycott of Disney/ABC over Jimmy Kimmel Cancellation.

They murdered a prince. They celebrated that murder. Everything changed forever on September 10. The MAGA movement now knows who wants us dead and we must remain peaceful, lawful, relentless, and merciless in destroying them… All of them.

I think part of this Kimmel and Colbert getting fired stuff is just the networks taking advantage of the air cover the Trump administration & the Kirk assassination is giving them when the reality is that their ratings sucked balls and they were losing their employers shit tons of $$$$$.

Shrewd moves on the part of the networks. Fire them because they suck and are costing you money, and let the Prez and the story of the day take the heat.
