After the recent liberal meltdowns about how just anyone can get a blue checkmark, what better reaction than to prove them right!
Besides, I really don't mind supporting Twitter as is pertains to Elon Musk. Pretty sure he does not need my $8.00, but sometimes it is the principle not the outlay of funds. I might have to cut back on food and sell one of my cars, but what the heck!
This is my way of saying I appreciate the fact that I can now post without walking on eggshells and my number of followers have been moving in the right direction (rather than watch them disappear as they had been). Banned for this that or the other thing that determined by some woke genZer to be a threat to society.
I still do not engage in as much Twitter as I once did. But perhaps the blue checkmark will spur me on to start engaging again. When I was on there more often I found myself being linked to places like Twitchy, Red State, and such. I also had tweets that got tens of thousand of impressions and dozens of interactions.

Mythinformed on Twitter: "“It (Twitter) was on the fast track to bankruptcy” Elon Musk explains to Bill Maher why saving Twitter was important and how the Twitter Files exposed government driven censorship on the platform. https://t.co/SpzdIG2v6i" / Twitter
I don't have HBO but I'd like to see the entire interview. probably available on youtube?
I think one of the main reasons Elon did this (he mentioned this in his Tucker interview which was the last one on Tucker Today) is that it makes it prohibitively expensive and more complicated for blue checkmarks to be bots (besides the $8 they need a phone confirmation). In the future he will be able to run polls that are not influenced by bots, though the left has largely avoided paying the $8 I think and would not be equally participating. He is also including the checkmarks higher in their visibility. But on non-partisan issues polls would then already be much better than current internet polls jmo
