August private payrolls rose by 99,000, smallest gain since 2021 and far below estimates, ADP says
Private sector payrolls grew at the weakest pace in more than 3½ years in August, providing yet another sign of a deteriorating labor market, according to ADP. Companies hired just 99,000 workers for the month, less than the downwardly revised 111,000 in July and below the Dow Jones consensus forecast for 140,000.
This is all pretty bad timing for Harris, who is the incumbent regardless of how they are attempting to play this. Democrats have been running this country for 12 of the past 16 years and want to run it for the next four years, claiming it would be a change. This is simply a preview of coming attractions if the electorate decides to vote once again for a Democrat. Then they will have nobody else but themselves to blame when things go sour.
Democrats run the administrative state, the academia, most of the media, half of Congress and have run the Administration branch for much of of the past two decades. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Electing another Democrat at this point is insanity, unless we want more of the same.
