Carter gifted us the Federal Dept. of Education the year I graduated from High School. That year and for years leading up to it, the US was Number 1 in the World in every educational category by every objective measure.
Now?
The US languishes in the mid 20's somewhere, while the teachers unions make fucking BANK.
