Jake Tapper at CNN desperately and blatantly lies about Jan 6th

Tapper demands that multiple police officers were left dead, when in fact, none were killed. Brian Sicknick was originally reported as being killed during the riot, later was reported as dying from a reaction to a chemical attack, neither of which was true. He suffered two strokes the day after. The official coroner report concluded that Sicknick dies of natural causes, rather than from anything specific to the riot.
Two officers committed suicide not long after the riot, however these were not considered line of duty killings. In fact, the families filed lawsuits, arguing that these were the direct result of the Jan 6th attacks and Capital police disagreed.
Jeffrey Smith was said to have suffered a minor injury and went to a police clinic for some pain medication and then took several sick days. He was ordered back to the clinic eight days later for further evaluation, was declared healthy, and ordered back to work. Smith then shot himself on his way to work.
Howard Liebengood had been ordered to work extra shifts during and after January 6th, apparently working almost around the clock for four days. Doctors believe he was suffering from sleep deprivation, something that often causes suicidal thoughts. Shortly after coming home after an extremely long shift Liebengood committed suicide.
Two others committed suicide long after the riot and it was not considered to be riot related, although many on the left will argue that those were also January 6th related simply because.
Tapper also suggests that the "attack on the capital" left several protesters dead as well. There were four Trump supporters who died. Two died of heart attacks, one before the riot broke out, and one just as it did. The person who people claimed was trampled to death, actually died of amphetamine intoxication according to the official autopsy.
That leaves Ashli Babbitt as the only person who was actually "killed" in the riot. She was shot unarmed by a Capitol Police officer who admittedly did not follow any of the procedures he was taught as an officer about discharging his firearm at someone. So, other than the shooting, you had two heart attacks, a drug overdose, and some non-related suicides. Not exactly the definition of multiple protesters and multiple police officers left dead by the protest/riot.
