Jack Smith runs into more issues...

Judge in his dubious defrauding of the United States nonsense has now taken the March date off the calendar.

Not only is the old trial date off, but the Judge will not even set a new date until the entire concept of Presidential immunity has been settled. With the DC courts already delaying the first (of what could be several) rulings on this, the timing could become a problem for Smith.

Most legal analysts suggest that Trump will eventually lose this, but he can appeal to the full court in D.C. if he loses with the three assigned. After that he can appeal to the USSC. It's possible that this could be delayed for weeks if not months.

Smith is already struggling with the Florida document cases and some liberal legal analysts demand that the Judge is literally working to undermine Smith's case down there and purposely trying to delay it. I doubt very seriously that this is the case. After all this is unprecedented territory, the case involves complicated logic to get from her to there, it involves thousands of documents, and the prosecution is "not" entitled to any sort of speedy trial. The right to a speedy trial is a defendants right and that is a right that they are not required to seek out.

This is the sort of case that routinely takes several months (if not years) to put together. Smith is trying to put two of them together in a manner of months and people seem irritated that the Judges are not paying attention to his concerns with trying to get everything done before the election. Of course the artificial election deadline should be given absolutely zero weight to when this is tried. It is of no legal consequence. The only reason to prosecute it prior to the election is purely for political (not legal) reasons.

Smith's latest ploy is to claim that there are additional "hidden" rooms in Mar-a-Lago that the FBI didn't know about during their original raid, requiring an additional raid upon the place.

If the FBI tries to pull that shit again they need to be met with overwhelming force.

At this point the FBI is simply a criminal enterprise without equal, and needs to be treated as such.
