It is called being arrested!

The crowd screams about how a Pro-Palestinian is being assaulted because she was arrested at a protest.

At issue was how protesters were getting in the face of police officers (and others) with megaphones and screaming at them. In the minds of these people, they are apparently entitled to do whatever they want without consequences.

Back when things made sense nobody would have believed you could just disrespect or get in the face of a police officer without consequence. Did protesters do things that they knew would provoke a response? Sure, it was called civil disobedience and everyone who did it understood that they would likely be arrested. In fact being arrested was part of the process for calling attention to whatever it was that you were doing. That being said, it was rarely personal or aimed directly at a person. They would go to somewhere they shouldn't be and refuse to leave or possibly toss some eggs at a building. Something they knew was not too harmful, but would get them arrested.

You could do these things, but you were prepared to at least be hauled to jail for your efforts. You may not have spent much time there and you were not likely to be charged with any serious crimes, but protesters back in the day might have several arrests and likely a conviction or two for some misdemeanors associated. It was worn as a badge of honor.

Now these children believe they can do all of the same sorts of civil disobedience stunts (and then some) and just walk away. When they are arrested they believe that they have been wronged (or in this case, that the arrest was assault). They act as if the police officers would simply let the protester go because they were "filming it". Little did they know that their filming would turn out that people mocked them (not the police officers).

Some have suggested that these protesters are behaving much like Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups. They provoke, they provoke, they provoke, they provoke and then when there is a response they demand that they are being oppressed. They just love to play the weak, damsel in distress victim 24/7.

The modern day Yoko Ono is Time's Person of the Year.

Yeah... we're officially living in Clown World, and there is no way we vote our way out of it.

Off topic...

So Time Mag person of the year is Taylor Swift. I guess I'm ok with that. Although I think Reily Gaines is probably more deserving. But Time won't pick someone who is not liberal.

The list of other candidates seems short - Shohei Otani, Speaker Johnson perhaps. I can't think of many.
