Israel election takes wild twists and turns.
At one point the results suggested that Netanyahu and his bloc had more than the 61 seats necessary, but late returns from California and Illinois (just kidding) apparently has shaken things up?

With the turnout in Tuesday's election at a record high and nearly 86% of votes tallied, Israel's three main broadcasters put Netanyahu's bloc of right-wing, far-right and ultra-Orthodox parties on course to win 53 seats in parliament, with the opposition bloc of rival Gadi Eisenkot trailing on 48. Both remained short of the 61 seats needed for a majority in the Knesset, or parliament, while parties representing Arab Israelis were projected to win 19 seats.
So lovely how the press continues to suggest that Netanyahu is right-wing and far-right, while the other side is just opposition. Nobody knows at this point how they will figure out a coalition here, but it remains the truth that he still has a legitimate chance of building a coalition even as many other outlets are counting the 19 Arab seats as opposition. Time will tell, I guess and they are not done counting votes quite yet.
Either way Netanyahu's bloc is the clear winner if you push them up against the opposition, even as the opposition suggests that not making it to 61 seats is akin to a rejection. By all accounts, it could take weeks to form a coalition and/or it could actually lead to another election if they cannot come to any agreements.
